Taibbi's tale comes TRUE

Matt Taibbi, ROLLING STONE summed it up rather nicely....2 YEARS AGO.

"The nightmare scenario for the GOP being whispered across Washington goes like this....R'S will lose the House, but not the Senate(2 years ago) and D"S will use what ever emerges from the Mueller probe...which will be extended by any means necessary thru Nov.at least . .to fuel impeachment proceedings not likely to succeed in Congress....but perhaps are better designed to cripple Trump in 2020...This sounds great to ANTI Trumpers. but such a plan means we are facing two more years in the mindless purgatory of the Trump news cycle, AFTER which we get to relive the joys of 2016 all over again.''

HOW prophetic a paragraph. when you consider the date written FEB. 8-22 2018.

Maybe it is time for the Democrats to give up on impeaching Trump. Instead work to create bipartisan bills and a budget that would make it through both branches of the legislature and past the desk of President Trump. The Democrat House has passed over one partisan hundred bills that the Senate won't even bother voting on. There is still time to create compromise laws that would work for all Americans.

The Democrats came up with impeachment to hurt Trump's reelection chances. Wouldn't it be ironic if it actually helps?

Wrong. Democrats impeached Donald because he broke the law. Now we have a president that has no restrictions, that know that he can do whatever he wants without any accountability. But hey, that's what *** Trump Worshippers wanted.

LOL. They rooted around for years for something to try him for, finally they decided a phone call was the best they could come up with. Can't have someone hurting another's campaign, right? Unless it is the Obama campaign using the Steele dossier to sink the Trump administration, right? It was a bogus charge. Are you trying to say that anyone who is running for president gets immunity from being investigated? If that is true, even more people will start running for POTUS.

The Ukraine investigation hurt the Biden campaign? Hardly, based on Iowa and current polling, Joe Biden himself is hurting his campaign more than even his corrupt, drug addict son.

I absolutely love how those who worship at the altar of Donald will twist facts around to suit their cult beliefs.

It wasn't a phone call - it was what that call revealed - Donald asked a foreign country to interfere in our elections. You're okay with that? I can't believe after all these months of the impeachment trials and testimony that you still don't understand what happened. But I guess that is what happens when the leader of a cult tells others what to believe.

"He asked a foreign country to interfere in our elections"

NO HE DIDN'T! He asked them to look into corruption - obvious corruption on the part of a candidate. It was corruption that occurred in 2014.... It had nothing to do with elections. The only way you can make the argument that he was asking them to interfere in our elections is to say that you know what he was thinking at the time. That is neither what he said, nor what was done. Please stop with the false accusations and false narratives.

Yes, Trump was so concerned about corruption in Ukraine that he and Congress withheld aid in 2017 and instituted investigations. Oh wait, no, no it was sent.

Maybe in 2018? Nope, it was sent then as well, nary a peep about corruption from Congress or the WH about corruption in Ukraine. At this was with a corrupt, Russian-backed president in office in Ukraine. A president that was voted out to "clean house" by the people of Ukraine.

Trump's own Department of Defense certified that Ukraine met corruption benchmarks in May 2019: “Government of Ukraine has taken substantial actions to make defense institutional reforms for the purposes of decreasing corruption [and] increasing accountability.”

Hmm, he didn't have a problem sending aid to Ukraine until Joe Biden announced his candidacy and his son just happened to be on the board of one questionable company in Ukraine. A company that had gotten off scot free thanks to a prosecutor that Biden was sent to Ukraine to push the government to remove because he was corrupt - a move that was endorsed by other western countries. And Trump didn't ask for a favor to investigate corruption by government officials, he asked for an investigation in Biden. And specifically asked for an announcement of an investigation into Biden, when usually investigations are kept quiet while law enforcement starts gathering evidence, so bad guys can't "mysteriously disappear" documents.

And not a single Republican Congressman nor Trump's counsel provided any proof that Hunter Biden or Joe Biden have broken any laws. What happened to Guiliani's "fact-finding" missions to Ukraine?

Mmm hmm. Yup. Nothing to see here folks. :smackshead:

So, supposedly everything is good in Ukraine. Trump, Pence, and Pompeo have met with Zelensky, we finally sent aid in September.

So why are we continuing to hold up aid? Things that make you go hmmmm...

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Once again, "anonymous sources". The same citation, Buzzfeed also released the "Steele dossier" - anonymous sources.
