I am an INDY..this article attacks the D's for misleading statements...it CLARIFIES many things that have to do with the mis steps in this
crisis and it reflects the gov. convoluted path of providing services/information.

I am willing to give both sides some slack in mistakes made and bad data released. It seems facts are constantly changing. Right now I think the best place to look is Europe. They appear to have got it sooner than us and are a good model to examine. I am also looking at China. It appears that the worst is over for the originator of Coronavirus and Apple is going to start opening their stores over there.
The big thing right now is to minimize contact. I was initially of the opinion that as a young, relatively healthy person I wasn't likely to get it, but based on Germany, most of us are likely to get it. If we keep our distance, we can moderate the numbers in care at any given time. My father is in senior living and they have shut down their campus to most visitors. I think this is a great idea going forward. I am planning to minimize contact this week and have properly prepared for this. Stay healthy everyone, and wash up as often as you can.

Both sides? You mean Democrats who were accused of fear-mongering "a pandemic hoax" to harm our president's re-election are just as culpable as an administration who fired the NSC Pandemic Team that our last president created, and who have essentially eviscerated the EPA and FDA? I will give you that Dems allowed funding for the NIH, NSF, and CDC to be gutted same as Reps, but you don't get to blame Democrats at all for this abject failure of a pandemic response. The buck stops with the President who continues to live in denial and lie daily about the facts of this disease outbreak. Full stop.

Yes, we're probably going to follow Italy's path much more so than Taiwan, unfortunately. We haven't been testing in the numbers we should've been because we have an administration that acted like communist China in wanting to gloss over how bad this was going to be for the economy and their re-election.

We have thousands of unconfirmed cases and community spread is here. This is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better, and China better be careful that the liey don't start a second wave after releasing everyone from quarantine.

Keep in mind, we'll likely have a second wave this fall as well, if this follows previous pandemics.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

Trump Cancels 2020 Election Over Coronavirus Concerns
WASHINGTON, D.C.—In real news that totally actually happened, President Trump has announced that in the interest of public safety, the 2020 presidential election has been canceled.

“It’s just too risky,” President Trump told the press while standing behind a sneeze guard. “We’ll get all these people gathered together at rallies or lined up to vote, and they’re all going to get sick. And Bernie and Biden -- they’re just so old. Sending them around crowds campaiging is basically trying to murder them. Anyway, it just seems pointless for a bunch of people to die when everyone knows I was going to win anyway.”

Trump has been a divisive figure in the past, but so far everyone has agreed with this move. The New York Times, which usually opposes absolutely everything Trump does, wrote an editorial in support of canceling the election. “It’s a smart, science-driven move,” the editorial said. “As important as democracy is, it’s just not worth dying over.”

donsurber.blogspot.com/2020/03/we-didnt-...ce-of-pandemics.html

Beth Cameron, an expert in global health security and biodefense, complained in the Washington Post, "I ran the White House pandemic office. Trump closed it."

Given President Donald John Trump's swift action to restrict travel to Red China and other infested places, the CDC's swift action to develop tests, and the reaction at the state and local level, what exactly would an Office of Pandemics do?

I mean besides get in the way. Created in 2015, the office never handled a pandemic.
