CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THIS?

I have been told by a woman who does manicures in her home that she is not allowed to do this under penalty of law, i.e. Gov. Polis' declaration of a state of emergency. She has the appropriate business license.
I would appreciate information as to whether this is correct.

She should probably not be operating her business if going by the letter of the law - hers is not considered an essential business and had she been operating out of a salon rather than her home, she would absolutely be closed. covid19.colorado.gov/public-health-executive-orders-explained

Could she consider it that she's in her home and has limited contact with people? Sure. And is she likely to get caught? No. However, she must get within 6 feet of her clients and every person who comes into her home increases her risk of exposure, and subsequently her chances of spreading it to others should she become infected. It's not wise or prudent on her part to continue to operate her business, when we should all be doing our part to reduce contact with others as much as possible.

Funny times we live in. I can cut my own hair but I can't go to someone else's house to get my haircut. Bizarre. Meanwhile I was able to get my cat groomed because my groomer is also a vet.

Fred,
The government is picking who is a winner. Please give me the justification for liquor stores and recreational marijuana stores being declared essential businesses.

Didn't we learn our lesson with Prohibition about trying to take away alcohol? The last thing we need right now is people breaking into liquor stores to get something they think they can't live without. People don't need haircuts or manicures; they can and do get addicted to alcohol and can die if forced to immediately undergo withdrawal. There is some truth to homeagain's take as well, alcohol and marijuana will be used by people to help relax or "deal with stress."

Marijuana is approved for medical uses so it actually has a little higher priority for being listed as an essential product. Yes, that's different from recreational use, but how do you tell/regulate a dispensary to go back to only medical sales if they're allowed to remain open?

Are you saying that the patrons of liquor stores are addicted to alcohol? Sorry, but one does not die when undergoing the acute cessation of alcohol, unless he decides to kill himself.

Very simple as to the marijuana sales. If an individual does not have a prescription he does not get marijuana, no different that not selling alcohol to minors.

I have known a few alcoholics and some weed addicts and cutting off their source of booze or pot can be quite devastating. Illinois, Indiana and Pennsylvania want to do that now. I predict they will have increased numbers of burglaries and robberies as boozers and stoners do whatever it takes to get their next buzz.

Have you ever seen a daily drinker go through alcohol withdrawal? It is not a pretty picture.

Those two statements make absolutely no sense....U do not need a license/rx to get MJ....AND
just because drinking at home is NOW mandatory, how does THAT equate to addiction?
