THE RIOTS AND RAGE EXPLAINED......make absolute sense to me.
When you say these riots, looting, and revenge murders of innocent people makes sense to you, could you please explain that in your own words? I know you didn't mention murders in the name of George Floyd, but they are happening and I find all of this absolutely horrifying and unjustified. When does this end? How many destroyed businesses and deaths will be a sufficient number for these people (of all colors) to be "heard".
These cities that are being destroyed may never fully recover and will result in so many more deaths and accelerated poverty. The "leaders" of these cities should have stepped up earlier and should have not given criminals the ability to destroy, loot, and kill at will. Hopefully the consequences of foolish and reckless decisions will be realized in the elections to come.
If your response includes a growing or continued trend of police officers killing unarmed black men, please provide that data as well. Those officers need to be punished to the maximum degree of their individual convictions, but that does not mean that the vast majority of officers in this country who risk their lives for us daily need to be painted with the same brush. That is the exact same tactic racists use to justify their racist acts.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
RICK....U have been off the board for a very long time...in that time,RAMAGE posted a topic RACISM.
I ask that U pull that topic up and review it in it's entirety. I was the voice that spoke out about the visibility
of it being on the down low, I was the one that attempted to show the disconnect, not only from the posters on this board,BUT the WHOLE of the populace.
The typical response was it has been overblown by the media (driven to make sensational headlines) and
that it is on the receding path....(nothing to be concerned about).
I CITED article after article, example after example, and BECAUSE THERE ARE NO PEOPLE OF COLOR ON THIS BOARD(that I could ascertain)...I was blown off....I had it all wrong.
I was told that it was a problem in the past( I cited THE JENA SIX....posted the video of the incident and
the acute problems that followed....I was told that was then (around 2006) and NOW IS NOW....history
presently shows THOSE issues are almost gone....THERE WAS NO RECOGNITION of the REAL
problem.
AND NOW.....there is, a man in blue, bent down and buried his knee on a black man neck (against strict
protocol) and for more than EIGHT MINUTES allowed his actions to snuff out a life, the ONLY reason
U and the entire nation NOW know.....is because a brave 17 y.o. FILMED THE MURDER.
AND HERE WE ARE.....riots, language of the unheard....
95% of Americans support the arrest of the officer who killed Floyd. But 95% of Americans don't support ambulances being burned in Denver last night.
This isn't about Floyd, this is just hooliganism. White suburban youth going into African American neighborhoods burning down minority owned businesses. These white suburban kids are not unheard or oppressed.

The real protests in Denver have been peaceful. It is the nights when the hooligans come out. The crowd during the day has been peaceful and respectful. Unlike the day time protests, the white extremists are coming out at night to try to take advantage of the situation. I would condemn the ones hiding under the cover of darkness, not the ones trying to right terrible wrongs.
I was reading a commentary from a long time DC resident. He said it took decades for the capital to recover from the '68 riots. I fear these current demonstrations will have the reverse effect that people hope for.
Businesses like Target will be less likely to return to the inner city, creating more food deserts. Due to the new rise of telecommuting, many big corporations will end their downtown leases and retreat to the suburbs. Many of the burned buildings won't be rebuilt. The anti-police attitude will lead to law enforcement staying out of those communities. In essence, there will be new Detroit's all over the country.
And already a bad sign, the current corrupt bad mayor of Baltimore looks likes she won't get another term, the bad news? Her opponent had lost their job earlier because of corruption. These communities have been single party for decades and just don't seem to get any better.

I think our biggest loss will be NYC. They already have the worst mayor in the history of the city and it's unlikely that there will be a police force after this that could handle what is to come. The numbers may be there but leadership will be lacking the courage to do what is necessary to stop the violence and criminal activity. The looters are getting released almost instantly and even bank robbers don't get much time at all. I predict the murder rate will be worse than it was pre- Julianni . It will be like a 9/11 every year, or worse. Soros will be thrilled.

Not only NYC, but cities across the nation are reacting to the Floyd death by limiting what non-lethal weapons police can use to restrain out of control residents.

Rick, I fear you may be right. Wouldn't be surprised to see the President invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807.
I encourage all of you to join me at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in downtown Denver for a protest, Sunday. We can link arms and sing psalms and pray. It is a protest therefore we can have more than 10 parishioners and protestors in the building.
Communion will be offered, please note that alcohol (wine) is a disinfectant.
Thank you Governor Polis, the U.S. Supreme Court for allowing this exercise of the First Amendment to the Constitution.
Jefferson County and other sheriffs and other department of corrections around the country have been releasing their convicts so that they don't get infected by Covid-19. Has anyone seen any information on if those released have been rioting and looting in the past couple weeks?
