I missed the first two debates but got to see this one. I have been told that the first two are similar demonstrating the pounding that Hickenlooper is given by Romanoff.
I used to think that Hickenlooper was going to walk away with the democrat nomination, now I am not so sure.
Of note, Gardner had an ad right after the first intermission, good timing.
I found that Hickenlooper was strong on the dope and up against the ropes. But, he does have name recognition throughout the state unlike Romanoff. Whomever wins the primary, the debates, if there are any will be (1) with Romanoff, a study in contrasts (2) with Hickenlooper a question of ethics.
Is Gardner up to it, that is the question.
Don't forget that Hickenlooper said that he did not want to be a senator, while running for the democrat presidential nomination.
My wife thinks John isn't looking very healthy lately and that can be seen in his ads. And usually they lay on the makeup and the retouching for TV spots.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Do you think Hickenlooper will be asked by someone, other that Cory Gardner, as to why he felt it appropriate to have the state of Colorado pay his legal fees to a private attorney, which were up to Feb 20 :
"Mark Grueskin of law firm Recht Kornfeld PC has now billed Colorado taxpayers $78,930 for his legal work on behalf of Hickenlooper. The rate is around $525 per hour.
In November, the Denver Post broke the story that Colorado was using a fund meant to help the economy around 2003 to cover the funds." Fox 31news.
to date the legal fees have been in excess of $140.000.
Hickenlooper did not want the Attorney General's office to represent him. Says a lot for the confidence in the AG. office.
