Don't underestimate the resourcefulness of Evangelicals.

“Evangelicals For Trump” Holds Event in Las Vegas Casino Amid Nevada Ban on Gatherings of More Than 50 People in Houses of Worship (VIDEO)

Gatewaypundit.com 8/7/20 Cristina Laila

For those who do not see the video, briefly, evangelicals flooded the Ahern Hotel and Convention Center, a joint hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Nevada prohibits gatherings of more than 50 people for religious worship, but allows 500 to go to a casino.

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Nevada diktat 5-4. Judge Gorsuch wrote the following in his dissent,

"“In Nevada, it seems, it is better to be in entertainment than religion,” Gorsuch wrote. “Maybe that is nothing new. But the First Amendment prohibits such obvious discrimination against the exercise of religion. The world we inhabit today, with a pandemic upon us, poses unusual challenges. But there is no world in which the Constitution permits Nevada to favor Caesars Palace over Calvary Chapel.”

Thank God!

OH I have NO need to....have experienced first hand.THIS area is NON diverse, very hard line religious...mostly Republican. It is rural and tight knit (more people are coming into the area,so have seen
a little change in the last year or so).

1ST experience...doing volunteer work for a non profit, one of the volunteers was a,polite, nice
black young adult. He came over introduced his self to me and we talked for awhile. asked where he was from and how he liked it here. He said that for the most part some people were rude to him,I said I had
had a hard time adjusting because of the lack of diversity.

2nd experience...we do Christmas food del for shut ins (on Christmas day)...we delivered meals to a house
that was OBVIOUSLY another faith (inside was cool eastern religion stuff)...talked with the lady about an
art piece that was striking...she said they were of the Bahai faith and her next door neighbor, altho nice
said she was going to hell for not believing in God.

3rd experience LOCAL Evangelist preacher was advertising THEY (the group) would come to your house to pray for you...during the HEIGHT of the first wave of virus....when most people were being
warned to stay in,isolate and distance from others....he got ALOT of flack for that....TOTALLY UNAWARE
PERSON.

4TH EXPERIENCE...or do I need to go on....No I think I'll give a 4th....Ross for Less hired an black person
with a man bun,I talked to him because I was looking for a special item and he was just a cool person, showed me lots of eastern/Buddhist items for my patio....he said at first,he was getting strange looks and some remarks...but it did not bother him.

5th experience...We live near a prestigious golf course (NEAR BEING THE OPERATIVE WORD)..the
cafe/dining establishment had a black waiter (great service)....he was here because his mother was sick
and he was helping her financially.....I WATCHED how patrons treated the staff...I don;t have to tell U what
I saw...U can guess.

Your reply shows that you have had no interaction with Evangelicals.

What is the point of of your 5th Experience?

5th experience...We live near a prestigious golf course (NEAR BEING THE OPERATIVE WORD)..the
cafe/dining establishment had a black waiter (great service)....he was here because his mother was sick
and he was helping her financially.....I WATCHED how patrons treated the staff...I don;t have to tell U what

You live near a prestigious golf course, in Gunnison, really? Evidently you dine there regularly in order to see how the patrons of the prestigious golf course treat the staff.
No I cannot guess.
Please tell us what the patrons of the prestigious golf course in Gunnison that demeans the black staff and while you are at it please tell us what you did to protest this insult. Or did you finish you meal first? Were you guests of patrons of the prestigious golf course or is it open to the public?
Dos Rios Golf Club is open to the public. The Gunnison Golf Club is a members only club, is this the club that you are referencing? Or are there other golf clubs that i am unfamiliar with in the Gunnison region?

I have to chuckle about your 1st Experience: of the volunteers was a,polite, nice
black young adult.
Sounds like Joe Biden talking about Barack Obama in 2008, ""I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,"

You are epitomizing condescension.
