Richie Frangiosa for Park County Commissioner (District 2)

Hello all!

I wanted to start a thread here for people to ask questions or share concerns about Park County and the upcoming election for Commissioner in November. You may not know it, but you still have a choice!

I am running for Park County Commissioner (District 2) as a Libertarian. I've included some contact information below, and will update this thread with website updates and community concerns as they are posted elsewhere.

I applaud your entry into the fray. Would you explain for the readers the compensation that Park County Commissioners receive and you opinion of that salary + benefits?

Good morning!

County Commissioner salary is set by State guidelines. The current salary for Park County is in the $80K range.

My opinion? It's too much. While I will be taking a large pay cut by serving the county, I believe it to be service, not a career. And $80K+ seems exorbitant.

I do not and will not judge anyone for taking that salary, nor will I tell anyone else what their work is worth. That said, if elected I plan on donating a portion of my salary to Park County non-profits and initiatives.
