MODERN MEDICINE - NOT WORRIED ABOUT COVID-19

I have had some discussions with friends as to numbers and types of surgeries. Here is one reply,

R,
I had a rotator cuff and one knee surgery at the Hop – Dr Johnson. Thereafter, before the knee replacements and even before the scope – another 7 knee surgeries with full leg casts. Then a scope or two. (Continuing to play basketball and racketball was probably not such a good idea.) Then two full knee replacements. And finally five shoulder replacements – all of those shoulders done at the Hop. If you haven’t fallen asleep by now, you’re probably asking how you get five shoulder replacement surgeries on two shoulders?. First one replaced my left shoulder. Infection. Three months later, surgery to take out the infected part. 4 months of IV antibiotics, then surgery number three to put in the new shoulder – aborted because the infection was still present. More antibiotics then finally surgery 4 to finally put in the shoulder. Right shoulder done only once – and the funny thing is, I have “preternatural” range of motion in the left (infected) one and normal range in the other.
So I actually have lost count of what my total is but I’m happy to cede the crown to anyone who wants it. Like I said, I’m happy to have lived long enough to have all of them and, miraculously, the knees are amazing and no shoulder pain at all. Like most of us who’ve had joints replaced, a year thereafter it’s like you’re reborn with a new joint.

As an aside

D's son is a M.D., Ph.D.,
The director of the pediatric/Neonatal ICU at a major teaching institution/university medical school in the Midwest.
The son contracted Covid-19 in March of this year in the course of his practice. Immediately started on HCQ/Zinc/AZ. Took care of himself at home , maintained self-quarantine during the incubation period. Back to work after titer levels done and negative test.
Enough said about HCQ simply, don't take it at your peril if you are positive. You might well ask your M.D. what therapy are you going to be given if not the above?
