I desired to schedule a telephone visit with my physician. Kaiser told me that there was nothing available until mid-October. However, if i wanted to come to the Downtown Franklin office I could see my physician in a regular visit on Sept 9th. This is a procedural question, requires no physical examination.
I can only think of two interpretations.
1.) The crisis is over and I came come to the hospital amidst all the ill patients without worrying about Covid or
2.) They get more money for an office visit than a telephone visit. (Which they do) and are willing to have me amongst the ill patients and innumerable staff in order to converse with my physician.
Being naive, I believe (1) and am overjoyed that the Covid crisis is over.
It's probably all of them at this point but I'm dealing with the same Kaiser crap. Even before Covid trying to get an appointment sooner than two months out was a challenge. Thanks Obama!

I have a really great primary at Kaiser and she much prefers to do business by e-mail if she can, like getting new prescriptions. YMMV
I have to schedule a visit next week for a blood pressure check, hard to do that remotely.

Fred,
You really should purchase an automated blood pressure monitor. Inexpensive yet accurate.
No reason for you to truck down to the flatland to have your blood pressure taken.

My experience with Kasier was for decades (1977,8 till 2005). I had no problems, my Harvard trained
PCP was the last doc and we had a GREAT communication line....but the OBAMACARE aftermath toasted
everyone. PRIOR to that If I wanted/needed something, it was smooth as silk...(but I am a self advocating
person,so there is that)....it has been a LARGE adjustment for care on the western slope....2005 was
a disaster trying to find a doctor who did NOT think they were God reincarnated.
Kaiser was great until you actually had a problem. I had a shoulder issue and it wasn't the standard rotator cuff that they think every shoulder issue is. They caused a lot of damage in the shoulder after weeks of waiting to see a specialist for 10 minutes. Arthroscopic surgery where they found nothing but decided to shave some bone to see if it helped. They did a dye enhanced CT scan while injecting dye into the shoulder...it hurt so bad I passed out. Then when driving home, I passed out again on 6th avenue. I dumped Kaiser and spent more for an out of pocket plan instead of the employer plan. The doc (that I was able to see in 3 days) looked at me for over an hour and discovered what he thought the issue was and he was correct. One 10 minute surgery later and I was out of pain for the first time in years. I will never agree to a Kaiser type plan again.

I own a couple but they want to see me to confirm. I have mixed success with the home units. The accuracy seems to come and go.

Kaiser was great for me 2010-2012 and they actually saved my life because of very quick appointments and surgeries. Now I have to schedule appointments months in advance. If I got the same cancer today I'd be dead... way too many people now due to the killing of competition and the ACA debacle.

Agree. I went yesterday to get a BP test and they have so stripped staff I had to schedule a future appointment despite the parking lot being only one quarter full. Why when we are in the middle of a global pandemic, are healthcare workers being furloughed?
