Pelosi too often likes to put politics ahead of the American people. Wouldn't it be better to spend 1.3 trillion out there while a new round of layoffs is coming? Nope, instead, she prefers the optics of saying that President Trump caused this. A true statesman would meet with the POTUS and carve out a compromise that suited both sides.
Reminds me of Tip O'Neil and Reagan. They would hang out together with a few drinks and then would agree to a bill that neither side loved but were content with.
