Reasons I’m Not a Liberal

For the record, I don’t plan on making the word “liberal” a bad word, I’ll just describe the policies, actions, and words I strongly disagree with that are my definition of liberal.

I’d just like to lay out my daily thoughts then I’ll later compile them into a letter to my liberal parents. For that reason I will be respectful throughout. I would do the same for any person in the real world. Feel free to critique my reasoning, I just ask that you would print the words in the same way you’d speak to me in person. If we can’t be respectful of different opinions in this place, how will we ever be able to stop a civil war?

Ok that was too long and unnecessary, sorry.

I’ll start with a pretty big one for me, abortion. I blame my beliefs on my children, because I witnessed their births. I’m not saying I want to force women to not abort their offspring, I just think we shouldn’t treat it like she’s just aborting a tumor. I think women should be encouraged but not pressured to consider adoption as a more human option.

I realize there are liberals who are pro life, but they are mostly silent and never challenge the majority. Understandable if you want to get elected again.

So there you go, my first reason of many

Please feel free to post one daily reason of your own and we can discuss agreements or differences. Hopefully some starts a “why I’m not a conservative” thread”. I’m certain you also have a long list.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I appreciate what you’re doing here Rick, but I think it’s already too late. I fear we are falling into civil war and it will only escalate. The democrats have brazenly laid out how they plan on stealing the election complete with predictions of how Trump will win on election night only to be overturned once enough mail in ballots are found to make up the difference. If you think the right will just accept that, well, never mind. Let’s just say it’s likely that this will be the last election in America and things will not look the same after November.

I agree with Pony Soldier, I considered a similar thread with what does being an American mean to you. It would be another nothing burger because only terms would be thrown about without real substance.

The silent majority will be silent no more.

WE AGREE...which is what I have stated all along....The Fourth Turning.

I will address the abortion issue. I am in complete agreement with your suggestion. ADOPTION would be
preferable option, as we speak,an acquaintance of mine is waiting for a child. Their perimeters are birth to 3 months,it is EARLY into the wait period. What they have told me is there are MANY OLDER 6,7 thru
teens waiting,so the newborns are first to be "out of the system"....as I see it,the younger mother is confused and scared and there is GREAT PRESSURE from both sides, being young and not assertive
the abortion choice seems to be a QUCIK FIX...and they can move on with their lives...ONLY to regret
the decision when they mature.

ADOPTION presents another problem.,however...the adopted child BLAMES them selves for something
"they did" and a sense of grief/tangible void is forever a factor in their lives (the same is true for the mother).....it is heart wrenching to watch "adoption shows" that bring the two together...the DEEP despair
that both have felt all their lives is palpable. MOST reunite, but some are still left with an emptiness.

On an over view I would say adoption has ALWAYS been my go to plan IF i had wanted children.

You watch too much television.

As the uncle of two adopted siblings, now adults, the above simply is not true. They have no self blame whatsoever, and no desire to learn about their biologic parents. They were nurtured in a loving family and are raising their own children in a similar fashion.
If anything they thank God that their respective biologic mothers did not abort them.

NOT TV...MY CHIROP. is adopted. wonderful family,in fact, international extended family from all over the
globe. SHE would still like to understand her heritage, genetic make up...she has 3 year old son now and
is searching for relatives. Found her sister in New Orleans, was going to meet her for the first time, then
the virus hit. She had a not so easy life, had to learn to fend for her self and figure it out by herself.
