FBI busts militia 'plot' to abduct Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer

To make a point, it does not matter which effing group these a-holes belonged to or who they supported or didn't, life is not black and white. Everyone should be denouncing their plans and celebrating a well-executed FBI (lol, aka the "Deep State," amirite?) operation that caught them before they harmed innocent people.

That some of these defendants were Marines does not make all Marines crazy nutjobs.

That the elected official they targeted was a Democrat does not make them Republican or Trump supporters.

That they targeted police does not necessarily make them BLM, and, according to local Michigan news sources cited below, they appear to be associated with the Boogaloo movement which sometimes participates in BLM events but isn't associated with BLM.

We need to stop politicizing every little GD thing that happens and simply judge individuals based on their actions. No assumptions, just judgement based on facts.

Not much is known about the Wolverine Watchmen, who don’t appear to have a group-specific online presence, but according to a report from the Washington Post, a Facebook page for the group was removed this summer as part of a crackdown on groups and pages promoting political violence.

According to federal court documents, a Michigan police department notified the FBI of the group’s activities in March 2020 after members of the militia allegedly attempted to find the home addresses of local law enforcement officers.

Signs point to members of the group being supporters of the Boogaloo Movement, an an anti government extremist movement formed in 2019.

According to the Anti-Defamation League, The Boogaloo Movement is an antigovernmental extremist movement that formed in 2019. The term “boogaloo” is a slang reference to a future civil war, a concept boogalooers anticipate and even embrace.

Michigan State Police said Morrison was considered the group’s “commander” and is known by the online moniker “Boogaloo Bunyan."
