I’m impressed! You didn’t call him the “King”! As to the article, it is pure speculation about something which neither the author nor his sources have any direct knowledge. If you invested in real estate, you would have a better understanding of how taxes work in that field. It is one of the best investments for that reason alone. Trump took a massive hit in one year but chose to amortize the loss over a number of years if the NYT article is to be believed. You can also take all of your profits and invest then into new investments that would then show as a loss even though you made a ton of money. I live real estate for this reason. I did screw up on one deal a couple of years ago and ended up paying In the high 5 figures in taxes. I sold some out of state holdings and used the cash to pay off loans on investments where I live. Not deductible and I ended up paying taxes on every dime I made on the sales. Lesson learned. Trump can pay for high dollar accounting so as not to screw up.

Guess U did NOT read Mary Trump's book.....an "insider" perspective on her relative....OH, did I mention
she is a psychologist? Her "family" experience with the king TRACKS with the Atlantic article....he
learned it from his Dad and was FINANCIALLY a fiasco...his father had to bail him out to the tune of MILLIONS
OF DOLLARS,because of his ineptness. As he aged, he DID NOT learn fiscal fitness...SORRY, the article
is backed up by factors mentioned in Mary Trumps book.....a "shell game" is an apt description of the tactics
used by the king.....and DEUSTCH BANK IS BEING INVESTIGATED FOR LOANS MADE TO THE KING....
questioning WHY when he was such a credit risk....

Mary Trump is pissed because she got cut out of her inheritance so she wrote a tell-all book to make up for her lost millions.
Every family has that person who likes to air the family secrets. Mary is just lucky because people are paying her to gossip.
I have an uncle who was in an automobile accident and he made his family and doctors sign a NDA. More paranoid?
