While there is some concern, my opinion is that this (which I can't read because there is a paywall) is venturing into the "fear-porn" territory. Trump can fire his cabinet, and other appointees, but he can't stop the built in procedures in the system and all of the day-to-day functioning of the DoD, State Dept, FDA, EPA, NSA, FBI, CIA, etc. The transfer will happen with or without him once the Electoral College votes are official. He's lazy, incompetent and clueless about how the government he is in charge of actually works, as evidenced by his pitiful results in 4 years despite having a Republican controlled legislature the first two, all the way up to not even putting together credible lawsuits to challenge the vote counts.

China, Iran, and Russia aren't going to risk a direct attack on our soil. China is all about the subterfuge, stealing intellectual property, and making aggressive moves in the South China Seas to take over Taiwan, Russia is invading their immediate neighbors and too busy being involved in Armenia, Turkey, and Sudan's issues to start any physical fight with us. Iran is funding ISIS terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan to attack our soldiers there, which is nothing new.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

I agree. I am not worried. Biden just hired his Chief of Staff. He can choose his cabinet and meet with bureaus. Bush didn't get confirmed until 12/13/2000 and that didn't slow down his administration. The Democrats were running government only four years ago so there are plenty of experienced staff from the Obama administration who Joe already should know. They say it was tougher for President Clinton because it had been twelve years since Democrats had last run an administration.

When I post link,I always go back to RECHECK if it showed up (no firewall).....sorry that the article did not appear

THIS article states ...1993 WORLD TRADECENTER terrori attack ONE month into Clinton;s 1st term
ALSO PAM AM 103 flight blown, at the onset of the Regan/Bush in 1988. Basically the same sentiment.

While FEAR porn is prevalent....my POV says that we are poorly positioned and WELL OVER DUE for
a cyber attack....since THIS administration is so dysfunctional and deficit in fore sight

Valid point, but I think there is so much on the plate of a new Biden administration right now, foreign threats are on aback burner.
They want to tackle Covid-19 first, then their version of the New Green Deal. Then they want to open back up the borders, so that might make the US even less secure. Why accept more illegal aliens when we are in the middle of a pandemic? Especially when polls are saying the Hispanic vote is being split between Republicans and Democrats. Biden promises to make nice .

Trump is supposed to speak today. Maybe he will finally concede. He will also talk about the vaccine.
