American Thinker: We WRONGLY and FALSELY accused Dominion Voting Systems

Hmm, so running your mouth with unverified defamatory accusations has consequences, you say? Who da thunk?

Perhaps this will finally put to rest unverified election fraud accusations.

American Thinker: Statement
Statement By Thomas Lifson, American Thinker | January 15, 2021

“American Thinker and contributors Andrea Widburg, R.D. Wedge, Brian Tomlinson, and Peggy Ryan have published pieces on www.AmericanThinker.com that falsely accuse US Dominion Inc., Dominion Voting Systems, Inc., and Dominion Voting Systems Corporation (collectively “Dominion”) of conspiring to steal the November 2020 election from Donald Trump. These pieces rely on discredited sources who have peddled debunked theories about Dominion’s supposed ties to Venezuela, fraud on Dominion’s machines that resulted in massive vote switching or weighted votes, and other claims falsely stating that there is credible evidence that Dominion acted fraudulently.

These statements are completely false and have no basis in fact. Industry experts and public officials alike have confirmed that Dominion conducted itself appropriately and that there is simply no evidence to support these claims.

It was wrong for us to publish these false statements.
We apologize to Dominion for all of the harm this caused them and their employees. We also apologize to our readers for abandoning 9 journalistic principles and misrepresenting Dominion’s track record and its limited role in tabulating votes for the November 2020 election. We regret this grave error.”

I know it's emotionally satisfying to keep putting this back on those who believed him, but we will never heal our wounds if that's the continued focus. The reason I shared this was to condemn the pseudo-journalists/media organizations and politicians who kept repeating this lie. Lies are what got ordinary people worked up into thinking they needed to march on our Capitol to stop a [not] stolen election. It is only by sharing those facts, and holding accountable those who repeat the lies who should know better, that we will move on and stop wounding one another. In times of unrest, fear, righteousness, and anger motivate, we cannot use those same tools to solve our problems. Understanding, listening, forgiveness, and acceptance that we are all flawed but most try to do their best is what's needed now.

Can we please focus on the issues and not each other? Whether directed personally at another member here, or spoken in general about the members of one party or another? Please?

while I understand the NEED to calm the waters, there is the matter of JUSTICE. UNTIL the wrong has been righted...there is NO ability to balance the scales. TRUMP has been able to escape ALL of his sociopathic
tendencies....thruout all of his life. The current events/choices ARE SO EGREGIOUS that the end result
should be followed to it's natural end.... TRUMP'S NAMESAKE SYNONYMOUS WITH BERNARD RANDOLF
(PONZI SCHEME)....his demise should be quick and permanent....meaning the R'S in the senate, should
DO THE RIGHT THING....IMPEACH,hold him accountable and NEVER allow his being to hold office again.

Yes, there does need to be justice, but that is only for those who have committed crimes, not the vast majority of those who support him. By implicitly equating all who support him with those who committed crimes, it perpetuates their fear that they are being persecuted as well. That should not be the case, they did nothing wrong.

The simple, but effective way for that to occur is.....admitting there was an error ( to error is human) and
RE ACCESS the held position and evaluate what went wrong/right and attempt to do better.....LIES are
not acceptable platforms. DEFENDING a lie or worse yet perpetuating it has been the universal problem.

Interesting. I wonder what they have to say about the independent forensic audits that showed 80% error rate sending 4 of 5 ballots to adjudication. The stuff about Venezuela was always a red herring.
