The only split in the republican party is between the politicians who have abviously sold out to the uniparty and real republicans who want them purged. Trump enjoyed the highest republican approval of any presidential candidate since Reagan and garnered more votes than even Obama. A lot more. Of course the rulling class republicans are scared. They should be. They'll be unemployed if we can have one free and fair election.

Republicans are great at making circular firing squads. Thousands of Republicans in Colorado withdrew from the GOP on their voting registration. Some say they did it because they don't want to be associated with the party that attacked the Capitol supposedly. Some say they reject the Colorado Republican Party because they do a poor job getting candidates elected. (True!) And I think some have unregistered because they are worried about retribution from the left wing radicals like ANTIFA who will target conservatives.

But the effect will be that less Republicans registered means that the GOP will get less matching funds to run elections so the Colorado GOP will just become more weak and Colorado will become a deeper Blue.
