San Fran Nan's City is Getting Scary

This was unfortunate, but should be expected.

A reporter for a local news station in San Francisco was allegedly robbed at gun point this last week while filming a television segment on car robberies taking place inside the city.

The segment came in response to residents complaining that car break-ins have been increasing near a city landmark ever since the early days of the pandemic when local officials closed the road that was used to access the area’s vista point.

“On Wednesday afternoon, the smash-and-grabs turned into armed robbery,” CBS San Francisco reported. “KPIX 5 reporter Don Ford was on the story Tuesday and again on Wednesday, and was preparing to interview nearby homeowners when a white luxury sedan with four men inside pulled up.”

Ford said that the men put a firearm in his face and demanded the camera — the whole encounter reportedly lasted under a minute.

“The car came up here while we were about to do an interview, three guys jumped out. One had a gun and put in my face and said, ‘We’re taking the camera,’” Ford said. “My whole thought at the moment was, ‘Be calm.’ Let’s not get this guy excited. He’s got the gun. I don’t. So you take you the camera. It’s yours, buddy.”

Sounds like there's a big need for more social works to combat these criminals... (and more people poop scoopers).

On a related note, over the last 20 years I've watched the slow creep of graffiti, crime, and makeshift dwellings getting closer to my home in Lakewood. I live in pretty nice neighborhood in Lakewood (yes, there are some) and have finally decided to hit the road next year. Denver is going downhill fast and the cancer is spreading. I think we're going to Red Feather Lakes or it's a nice secluded place in Idaho.

WELCOME to the world of "we R out of here''...we left in 2015. The problem is,as U grow older, the LONG
commute to get supplies (when U R remote)becomes "I don't want to trek this anymore"....the problem is
everywhere tho. Montrose in 2015 was NOT discovered and yes there was "alittle'' ISSUE WITH DRUGS
and crime.but it is now 2021 and it is a BIG issue, too many people, too close to Ridgeway.where U can
buy MJ without a piece of paper. The higher income brackets R coming in and building Mega Masions
and pricing the middle class out of buying....and the TAXES here R as much as Steamboat or LITTLETON.

The town has homes going up every where U look....commercial endeavors have not caught up, Grand
Junction is "going into town".)1 hour drive, if U go above speedlimit.

Walgreens has started closing their stores in San Francisco. People will just walk in, grab what they need and walk out. The police refuse to prosecute unless it is $1,000 worth of goods. So locals will lose jobs, more retail will fail, and the people will have to order what they need online. Or they will leave the city.

San Francisco lost a lot of population during the pandemic and also the rioting and crime jumps. Some are moving out of state, but most are just moving out of the city.
