describe, concisely and coherently, Joe Biden’s plan for what’s happening at the border.

How many undocumented people do we need or can we afford to take care of? There must be a logical number, a number that is just low enough that we don’t make our own poor and dependent even more poor and dependent.

I’d also like to know who should decide how many people are allowed to enter our country without doing what every other legal immigrant was required to do. Obama made up his own unilateral immigration plan with the stroke of a pen. So now we let Joe decide? The guy who just recently couldn’t remember his own Sec of Defense or the name of the F****** Pentagon? Please tell me nobody here thinks that’s a good idea? I also don’t think unelected handlers should be making the decisions for him.

Thank you for considering my post and have an exceptional evening.

The Biden administration has big plans for immigration reform.
Angela Lang/CNET

President Joe Biden has reversed former President Donald Trump's ban on legal immigration and reopened the US to people seeking green cards. In a proclamation made Feb. 24, Biden said that suspending the entry of immigrants is detrimental to US interests, harming US citizens and industries.

The latest order is part of Biden's hefty immigration reform package -- formally named the US Citizenship Act of 2021 -- which would include providing an eight-year path to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented immigrants if it becomes law, as well as preserving and fortifying the DACA program. The sweeping proposal, which was introduced in Congress in February, aims to reverse and revise policies from the previous administration.

Lawmakers appear to be anticipating pushback on the bill's passage but are prepared to take a piecemeal approach.

A piecemeal approach will be what is implemented....per CNET....I think that takes into account what U
were asking for.

Sorry, but that doesn't give any good answers, just the same old generalizations that don't address specific questions that need to be answered. The article also uses the same number of illegals we've been using for 20 years. How can we believe that the number of illegals in the country is 10.5 million when that number has never changed? I'm just asking for people to use their common sense. If you believe everything in that article, I'd just like to know why.

NOTHING in that article addresses the current crisis at the border and why so many people are being released into the country or why so many children are being used as a substitute for the legal process.

HA, while I appreciate the attempt to address my questions with the words of others, I'd prefer to just hear your opinion.

From my POV....U (collectively) really need to understand the global problem, which is going to worsen. climate change forces MASS migration...from hot to cooler locations....THIS problem isn't just OUR
Mexican border.....the world will see a shifting of suffering populace. The link I provided is,at the very least,
a PLAN...a guideline to attempt to address issues that will be hitting us full force in the future.

Will Biden's new bill be dead on arrival? Why would you want to let in millions more when we don't have enough jobs or housing as it is. Do you really think California wants million more homeless camping under highways?
