So, I figure we should now start calling it the trump virus. What did he know and when did he know it? Since he didn't read his security briefings and his administration ignored the warnings well before it got out of hand all US deaths are definitely now on trump. Not that any of the members of his cult will see it that way but it's the truth plain and simple.

Speaker Pelosi had the same intelligence and she was asking people to go out and celebrate in large crowds at Chinese New Year's festivities. Face it, no one ever knows how bad a pandemic will go. You don't know what percentage of people it will kill, how easily it will transfer, and what antibodies people might already have. I remember in the 70's, everyone was worried about the Swine Flu, it killed less people than the vaccine. Remember SARS in the early 2000's? Killed much less people than forecast.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
Ok? But he was still implementing controls while trying to stay upbeat, doing daily briefings, assembling experts and taking their advice. What I’m asking is what he should have done differently, not what he should have said.
The FIRST part of my reply...taken it seriously....he KNEW this was going to explode, lip service was the
answer...OH and off load it to the states to figure it out....great at throwing $$$$ at it...to actually provide
leadership (the buck stops here) NOT in his skill set. When shit hits the proverbial fan...he finds a "fall guy",
because NEVER ADMIT FAILURE,and
"What the bulldozers and dump trucks did wasn’t important, I said, so long as they did a lot of it."
Trump was talking about a stunt he pulled in 1982, when he owned a piece of land along the Atlantic City boardwalk and wanted Holiday Inn to partner with him on the construction of a casino.
Contrary to his representations to Holiday Inn, hardly any construction had taken place on the site, and he was concerned the company would decline to invest once they saw what was basically a plot of empty land.
So in advance of a site visit by Holiday Inn executives, he directed his construction manager to hire dozens of pieces of heavy equipment to move dirt around on the site, digging holes and filling them back up if necessary.
Quote from Bus.Insider.....it goes on to state ...THIS is what he did, time and time again i his presidency.
So, have you read the Constitution? He had no constitutional power to do anything but give suggestions to the states and work with governors to push supplies and personnel to hot spots. He temporarily pulled back regulations and provided financial incentives to drug companies to develop a vaccine in record time. He may not have been perfect in his response, but he was a damned sight better than your hero Cuomo. I realize that you will eternally see Trump as the villain but that is because you are a hyper partisan, not because of his actual response.
