Yes, that's one of the sources I found it on but Politco is not one of the sources listed in this thread. Anyone who reads this article should be scratching their head and wondering why every journalist hasn't covered this story. You know as well as I that if this was Eric Trump and his wife, everybody in America would know about it because the big sources that dominate in ratings (like the WAPO) would be telling us every detail.

There's a whole lot of past stories including Hunter's laptop that have been ignored in order to protect the Bidens... THAT is a dereliction of duty if you call yourself a journalist.

Just a reminder, this thread is about me asking you all what sources I should be looking at to find real journalism. Nobody mentioned Politico as a reliable source and I've never said Politico was "leftist".

Inconvenient stories will continue to be ignored by sources that are not reliable. If a source doesn't want to shine any negative light on a president and his family, that source should not be considered reliable. Why am I wrong?

U R NOT wrong.....I was merely pointing out that some posters find POLITICO not journalism....from their POV. I did not list it, because I thought U (collectively) had a fair understanding I use the source...because I
post articles from it often....

In the end, it comes down to what 1-5 journalists do you trust for news? It's not about who someone else tells you that you can trust them for news.

I have never really drilled down to particular journalists I can trust. I do have a big list of so-called journalists I CAN'T trust for objective news.

I weigh the individual story. Does it give an opinion? Then it's not a news story, it's an opinion piece. Does it connect a source to statements made or just it just make statements, without a source?

It's very disheartening to me that many people don't know the difference between news and opinion. It's also disheartening to see some parroting Russian propaganda, apparently without realizing it.

Thanks Wayne, I actually agree with most of what you posted.

My point is that there really isn't a news source that is objective, fair, and doesn't live by double standards... at least none I've been able to find. My test is usually looking at what a news organization isn't willing to cover. I don't see any Tim Russert types anymore either and probably never will unless someone has the courage to piss off both sides when it's required.

This is one of the reasons I'm happy you're here. I doubt we'll come to a whole lot of agreement on policies, but maybe we can agree on what's missing in journalism as a whole.

Lara Logan is pretty good. She fought hard to put out objective stories but her producers refused to air them and she eventually went out on her own.

Yeah, I like her and haven't seen any evidence that she is part of the usual herd of propagandist journalists.

If your trusted sources don't show you stories like this, they should not be trusted. This is pure racism, the inconvenient type that doesn't fit the narrative... so they will quietly ignore it.
