Black Vermonters have had the highest rate of Covid, according to the Department of Health, with 741 cases per 10,000 people, compared to white Vermonters’ rate of 247 per 10,000 people. Asian people, Hispanic people and those of other races also have a higher Covid case rate than white Vermonters.
There’s also evidence that people of color have a higher hospitalization rate in Vermont. Across the country, people of color have died at much higher rates than white people, both due to their higher case rates and their higher rate of preexisting chronic health conditions.[

HUH?? What in the world are you talking about? If you're going to make an assumption about something you think I believe or support, at least have the decency of quoting my words that would support your assumption. I've read your sentence a few times and still can't figure out what point you're trying to make, other than just a weird deflection.Wayne Harrison wrote:

Let me guess. You support white Vermonters having an equal number of COVD-19 cases as Blacks and other minorities do.

You’re absolutely right Wayne, I did say that and I was wrong. I’ve been seeing a lot of anti-white racism lately and I assumed this was just that because I neglected to read enough of the article to see why black people were given that priority. Of course I believe that people with higher risks of death should get vaccinated first, I had just forgotten about that statistic. I apologize for jumping to that conclusion... that’s the kind of thing we see almost daily in the media and I am guilty as charged. I will ALWAYS admit I was wrong when I am proven to be wrong. Thank you for pointing that out and I will do my best to not make that mistake again.Wayne Harrison wrote:

I was referring to the article you posted from Fox News, headlined "Vermont GOP governor opens up COVID vaccines for those who identify as Black, Indigenous or person of color"
You called it "pure racism," but didn't explain why you thought that. I ]posted some facts to show why it was called for and "guessed" why you'd think it was racist. It's about a racist as sickle cell.
