THE WILD,WILD WEST......it has always been our heritage, and now that mindset has brought us (Colorado) MORE MISERY than we ever imagined.

I'm a 3rd gen. Coloradan, I did not know about the SAND CREEK MASSACRE, my ancestors came in the late 1880's,here is a piece of
shameful history EVERYONE should know.

You never knew about the Sand Creek Massacre? Interesting.
But this article is grasping at best. To equate the thinking of 1860's Coloradoans to the thinking of Coloradoans in 2021 is the same is just plain silly.
Back then, it was a government sponsored militia that attacked a camp of native Americans. The citizens of the area were spooked after tales of Indian massacres in other parts of the frontier, so they sent out a military unit to wipe them out.
Boulder? Some nutjob with anger issues, a hatred of President Trump, and paranoid delusions that his high school was spying on him. Not at all alike.

Modern leftism theory: Modern day Americans who never owned slaves should provide reparations to a minority group that never experienced slavery. Their parents never experienced slavery, and most of their grandparents didn't experience slavery. But these same leftists don't think people should be responsible for their own violent actions. "You can't help it, you come from a violent past, you shouldn't have to pay bail, or serve time for your crimes."
