From the applause during her laughter, it appears she was making eye contact with some of the audience who were laughing about the difficulty... The applause was certainly in support of what she was saying.
It's not like it's a one time thing, she laughs at very strange times in many of her interviews. Hopefully she can contain herself when talking with foreign leaders.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
