On 6 Jan, a Capitol policeman shot and killed an unarmed female broaching an entrance into the Capitol.
On 2 April, a Capitol policeman is killed by a knife wielding male after said individual had crashed an automobile into a concrete barrier near the Capitol.
Lots of inferences can be drawn, what do you think?
For openers, 1. the training is woefully lacking, starting with threat assessment.
The police officer today died after being run into/over by a car. How is a person supposed to avoid that when they are intentionally being rammed by a speeding vehicle that outweighs them by a couple thousand pounds? Are you truly blaming the officer who died, and the other who was injured, for not avoiding this outcome?
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
To answer your first question, stand behind the barrier, that is what it is for, protection. To your second point, this question, on its face is absurd. I nor anyone else is blaming the officer for getting himself killed. Simply put, why was he in front of the barricade?
This was a horrible incident and I feel bad for the fallen officer's family. The one good thing is that the typical worthless media didn't have an opportunity to advance their usual anti-white anti-Trump narrative... in fact, it will be hard for any of you to find any mention of the man's skin color. It's good that they are not using his skin color or his religious views to push a narrative, but the double standard is very clear if your memory is even sub-par.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
I purposely did not mention the characteristics of the individuals other than their biologic sex (according to news reports) to avoid any discussion of race, religion, color, etc.

Which is what the press should also do in ALL cases, but they don't.
