Hopefully Cuba moves in the direction of Vietnam and gradually becomes more capitalistic and freer with new businesses.

Not what a WSJ Op-ed thinks. Brother-in-law of Castro still runs the military. The new leader was a Castro appointee and he know the Castro family still runs the nation. This is unfortunate. Cuba has been really hurt by the lack of tourism. And is way behind in their vaccine program. The economy is in bad straits, as bad as when the Soviet Union folded and could no longer give them billions to prop up their economy. Would be a great time for a bold American president to promise them aid and vaccines and opening up the economy to Americans in exchange for more capitalism and letting Americans buy land on the island nation. Team Biden? They have put this idea on the back burner.
