I apologize for jumping to that but I believe the average taxpaying American should have a say in what second amendment rights they should be allowed to keep. You said:

If you have said "some people" instead of "everyone", I wouldn't have phrased it that way.
I would say that there are a lot of people all over the country that also feel they need 24/7 armed protection because of where they live, who they know, the occupation they picked, and many other reasons including an insufficient police force. These are regular people who don't have the resources that these high paid celebrities and politicians have, but these people shouldn't have less of a voice that the rich and powerful.
I'll come back to your points when I have time, but I really do appreciate you laying out your thoughts in a clear and understandable way without forcing me to read someone else's words... very refreshing.
