Where do Republicans find such out-of-touch people?

The Founding Fathers did this for a reason. If you want those citizens to have representation, make the residential areas of the District part of Maryland. Hundreds of years ago, part of the District of Columbia was in Virginia. The Feds sold it back to the state to help out with federal debt issues.
If they did this, the new residents of Maryland would have two Maryland senators and a representative who could represent that area.

Would you mind giving your opinion on the proposal instead of the people you mentioned? Just curious.

I have no opinion on the subject. My opinion is on elected lawmakers who speak falsehoods.
