BB....do U know what '';THE TALK'' is? IF u don't ....research it. WHEN 'the talk" is NOT
necessary, when the color of your skin does not dictate a revision of your character, when a person of color
can walk down the street or drive a car WITHOUT fear.....THAT is victory....it is a LONG way to that goal.

You didn't have the talk? You didn't need to be a minority to have the talk. I learned early on to not involve "the man" in my life. Do not ask for his help because it could go horribly wrong. Stay on the right side of the line, do not attract attention. Do not hang out with bad apples.

The talk is a colloquial expression for a conversation some Black parents in the United States feel compelled to have with their children and teenagers about the dangers they face due to racism or unjust treatment from authority figures, law enforcement or other parties, and how to de-escalate them.

I thought for a moment that HA was actually writing in cogent sentences. Fooled me by not putting the citation in quotation marks.
My black friends do not feel that such a conversation is necessary. Rather they instruct their children, as I do, to obey the law.
The source, Wikipedia, uses the weasel words "some Black parents".

Do you also believe that we are a fundamentally racist nation?

Once again you are pigeonholing a whole race of people. Some people might even call you "racist". More likely some African Americans have the talk and others don't.
