U think this scenario only happens ELSEWHERE? Read the above link....defunding the police, NO, WHAT IT REALLY MEANS IS RE TRAINING THE POLICE...How proud the police" must be of this "take down".....HOW did these candidates PASS THRU TRAINING AND RECEIVE ACCREDITATION?

I really don't understand why some people seem to think that police officers are somehow different than the rest of the population. Every cop that has ever worn a badge was and is flawed and in some cases, BAD PEOPLE. You could put cops through ten years of training and there would still be cops who F up in one way or another and either cause injury or death.

Thousands and thousands of children have been abused or sexually assaulted in some way over the years by teachers, who are also flawed humans. But when a teacher is arrested for doing something horrible to a minor, we never say that teachers have to be retrained and we never say they need to be defunded... because the vast majority do a good job and that would be stupid. Same goes for nurses or anyone else who's job it it to handle people in some way.

This blanket vitriol against cops is going to be responsible for many many more crimes, including murders. If you want to keep good people away from that occupation, what's happening now is the best way to accomplish that.

Nurses and teachers don't systematically shoot people of color every few days.

It's interesting their department did not even hold to them accountable until the incident became public months later.

NO,the best method to attract NEW AND EMOTIONAL MATURE candidates is thru extensive RE training
and methodical evaluation reviews.....IF U have a "writeup" 19 TIMES IN TWENTY YEARS,THERE IS
A PROBLEM IN EVALUATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL....that was a huge mistake/mismanagement on
the part of the superiors.

Every few days Wayne? How about a source for that whopper. The people shooting people of color every few days are other people of color. Lets compare actual facts and statistics and see who is more accurate.

Bad seeds will always slip through the cracks HA, and the training can't fix them but it does help the good ones. If a good person with good intentions makes a mistake, then you could say they just needed more training. The problem today is that the protesters at every one of these incidents automatically assumes the shooting was because of hate and never because of bad training.

BOLDED...the only reason these "bad seeds " were growing and flourishing is because the cameras eye
did NOT catch them.... the advent of smart phones has exposed the MISMANAGEMENT BY SUPERIORS....this behavior is so NOT policy driven, it is EGO DRIVEN....egocentric traits R easy to
spot. IF the training process is NOT catching the character deficient, it requires a review and a rewrite.

Maybe 99% of the time they are decent individuals, but every now and then they do something stupid and wrong. None of us are angels all the time.
