Arizona ballots were eaten by chickens, who were killed & then burned

I saw this on Colbert the other night and couldn't believe it, so I looked it up. The conservative crowd supporting The Big Lie are just getting crazier and crazier.

GOP official slams claim Arizona ballots were eaten by chickens, who were killed as part of cover up

The Republican-controlled Maricopa County Board of Supervisors slammed the ‘sham’ recount of the 2020 presidential results, calling it ‘political theater’ backed by ‘grifters and con-artists.’

The members of the board didn’t hold back when it came to expressing their disgust for the audit, which is examining 2.1 million ballots in Arizona’s most populous county during the election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

It has become subject to numerous conspiracy theories including one that state elections officials shredded ballots, fed them to chickens, and then had the chickens incinerated to cover up the evidence.

(This begs the question: Why not just incinerate the ballots? Why use chickens?

This wacky conspiracy theory certainly explains the promotion run by McDonald's in Arizona after the election.

One of the un-answered questions about this wacky claim: Why didn't they just burn the ballots directly and skip trying to get the chickens to eat them?

Within the context of this particular story, would you mind defining the "conservative crowd"? Who is part of this 'crowd' that is claiming this story is true? I'm not a journalist, but I do have a pretty good grasp of the English language.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Reverse-engineering my sentence, just for you Rick.

The people who believe The Big Lie are the Conservative crowd I referenced. (The Big Lie being that Trump actually won the last presidential election despite "millions and millions of illegal votes being cast.")

Here's what Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer told CNN on May 15:

No, the craziest conspiracy theory by far is that one of the board of supervisors who happens to own a very large chicken farm took ballots from the 2020 election, fed them to 165,000 chickens and then had them incinerated. Now, what actually happened is that this poor man had a serious fire at one of his barns and 165,000 chickens did die.

But the idea that they had ballots inside of them — I mean, you know, and legitimate people indulge this. A prominent member of the state legislature indulged this in a conversation. And it is just, you know, what is going on here? That’s facially laughable.

You avoided my question, but not very well. I'm just asking who this 'crowd' is who believes the chicken story. Is it one guy, or is it a significant number of people you that you can factually identify? When you say "the conservative crowd", you are making it sound like the majority of conservatives believe this, which would be false. Snopes is a joke btw... they are as credible as Adan Schiff who said he had evidence of Trump colluding with Russia but never produced it.

As I already answered:

To further answer...

"The Conservative Crowd" who believes that the election was stolen and that Trump received more votes than Biden. It appears to be a large segment of the Republican Party and appears to be a test that one must pass in order to be part of Republican's leadership.

That "Conservative Crowd."

You could have just said "this guy" and not try to link millions of other conservatives to this guy's nutty theory. I understand that this is the tactic used a lot these days so I'm not surprised by it, The media will endlessly talk about the actions of one cop and their loyal viewers soon start to believe in the lie that there is systematic racism in every department, which then causes mass riots and looting. I just think it's a dishonest way to make a point and when done my news media, it's dangerous.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Rick, Rick, Rick...

"This guy" in the story DOESN'T BELIEVE IT.

Try re-reading my posts above very slowly. You are conflating the Big Lie with the Big Barnyard Fire story.

I never claimed "millions and millions" of people believe the chicken story. I'm stating that the majority of conservatives believe the election was stolen by election fraud and that Trump is the rightful winner of the November presidential election. Perhaps you do, too.

As for who believes the chicken story, I have no idea. I never even heard it until Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer brought it up.

I guess we'll have the answer when NCIS: Barnyard airs.
