Both media sides like to whip their customers into a frenzy. And parties and individual politicians encourage it too. Enraged citizens are more likely to vote, volunteer, and donate.

That's why CNN has any viewers at all. After Trump left, their ratings have tanked. They spent every hour of every day talking about how he was a colluder with Russia... now they just keep repeating the capital riot as if it was Japan dropping bombs on Pearl Harbor. Hilariously desperate to remain relevant.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
