Supersonic Flights To Resume?

United and a Colorado company named Boom are developing a new supersonic passenger aircraft designed to make a flight across the Atlantic only 3.5 hours. Would you pay a premium to do this? And how much more? 20%? 40%? The old Concorde was never successful, it could only hold one hundred passengers and the flights were so expensive, only elites could afford it, or people who wanted to say they had done it. Possibly better engines and technology might make it happen this time. There also does seem to be more wealth now than in the 70's and 80's.

Did you ever wonder why jet airplanes fly within a prescribed speed window? It is for maximal fuel efficiency. If United and Boom can overcome this obstacle then they will have to overcome the complaints of environmentalists.
I wish them well.

It will be an interesting battle. Elites versus enviros? The elites like Senator John Kerry will want this service. Maybe the airline will promise to plane a tree for every passenger? Or charge an extra $100 in carbon credits.

So you're channeling John Kerry now?

BTW, he is the U.S. Special Envoy for the Climate now (after he was Secretary of State - after he was a U.S. Senator)

LOL, typical government hypocrisy! The US's special envoy for the climate has yachts, private jets, and multiple homes. And generates more pollution in a year than my household will generate in a lifetime. Another bad pick from Joe Biden. It would be like appointing Iran to the UN Council on LGBT Rights.

Hypocrisy is the proud badge these leftist pukes like Kerry wear proudly, and the people who admire them are complete hypocrites as well.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
