The Sunday Denver Post reflected on the end of the legislative section by declaring the citizen passed ballot measure had essentially been overturned by the Democrats in the statehouse. Instead of the editorial condemning politicians overruling the rule of the people, the Post was happy that spending was back in the hands of the Democrat senators and representatives.
