Joe Biden will be making a speech soon about the rising crime rate across the country. While I'm happy he is finally bringing attention to it, I have serious doubts about his ability to really understand the problem and the real causes for this spike in violence.
I think he will walk his careful line and not want to upset his base which is richly populated by radicals that want to defund police and ignore the real offenders who are not these sneaky white supremacists that seem to elude eye witnesses and security cameras. He won't talk about the biggest threat to the black community, but he will talk a lot about the weapons used by the people he won't talk about. He won't talk about how much harder it has become for police officers to do their jobs or how leftist mayors and AG's have made it easier for criminals to get away with crimes and evade punishment.
Those are a few of my thoughts... what do you think he will talk about and do you believe he and his handlers will provide us with good ideas that will help control this major issue? As soon as it's online, I'll post his speech.

Great point. Police are no longer allowed to use many successful tactics to combat crime, like broken windows and search and seizure. Result? Crime has risen. And many quality police officers have retired, quit, or moved to smaller towns where they are still respected.

I look forward to the facts you will present to back up your assertion.

Which of those assertions do you doubt? I believe many of the tools police used to have can no longer be used and I'm 100% sure officers are retiring at a record rate.

Last year was a record year for legal gun purchases and this year gun purchases are 19% higher than this time last year. Hmmm, I wonder what's going to happen with gun sales after Biden suggests we need to get rid of more guns or that guns need to be harder to buy?
Biden recently said white supremacists are the biggest threat we face, so I wonder if he will share some examples to help solidify his assertion? He will definitely not touch on the main problems in big liberal run cities where the killings are not being committed by white racists.

The Portland Oregon Police department just lost 40 elite officers this month. They quit because they believed one of their team was being unfairly judged for an incident earlier in the year. If the police don't feel they are being backed by their city council and mayor, they will walk.
