With Its Power Grid Under Pressure, California Asks Residents to Avoid Charging Electric Vehicles

As is said in Southern California, time to park the Tesla and go back to driving the Suburban.
I'd love to know how many cars are registered in CA and what percentage of them are EV's. I'd be shocked if it was over 20%. Just wait until it's 50% or higher... stay cool or charge your car?

As of 2012, there were more than 27.7 million total vehicles registered in California. California has the highest total number of registered vehicles in the country, with more than 7 million more vehicles than the Texas, which has the second most.
Portland Oregon shuts down mass transit. The system can't handle the record high 115F temperatures. You would think Leftist Oregon would believe in global warming and upgrade their systems for record heat. Portland residents forced back to their individual gas powered automobiles and bicycles if they are masochists.
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
TriMet announced on Sunday that it will be suspending all MAX lines due to heat concerns and the stress on the power grid until Tuesday. TriMet said in a release that several of its lines were experiencing technical issues due to the heat and the pause in service will give the system time to cool down. The MAX lines will resume on Tuesday and it is suggested people make use of normal bus lines in the meantime.
I was replying this in response to the comment where Fred Hayek claimed Portlanders will have to resort to driving or using bicycles to get to work because mass transit is all shut down, because of the heat. It's the one right before my comment.
It's hard for some to keep up with, I know.

That's not a very nice thing to say. Maybe if you quote what he says and reply to that quote, it would make more sense. I tend to skim through posts where I'm likely to agree and focus in on those who I'm likely to disagree with. Does that make sense?

I tend to read all the comments as they progress through the discussion. But, if skipping over half the posts makes sense to you, then that seems like an excellent way to get confused.
