FOR RICK.....a forward thinking article (pov) I agree with.....SIMPLE, declare your intent
I appreciate the thought, but you need to cut/paste a part of the article you think I should read because when I hit the link it won't let me read it unless I subscribe. Sorry, but I don't subcrfibe to bullshit.
I really am interested in the point you're trying to make so please help me understand by giving me something to read.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
CNN, the New York Times, The Post and similar outlets should embrace and announce their core values. Those three were perhaps the most important and influential mainstream news outlets (so excluding Fox News) in the country even before Trump became president, because of their large reporting staffs and reputations for accuracy. When Trump was in office, all three put defending democratic values above placating Trump-aligned voters. They can’t go back to 2014 — the rise of Trump permanently changed U.S. politics and the media’s role in it. So it would be useful for these outlets to articulate clearly the underlying values that resulted in their covering Trump so negatively.
“Democracy dies in darkness,” a slogan The Post has adopted, is not particularly clarifying. My suggestion is something along these lines:
“We are not aligned with any political party or movement — we are not on anyone’s team. We believe the United States is and should remain a multiracial democracy. We believe in equality across a number of dimensions, such as gender and race. We proudly employ staff members no matter their identity. We believe that the media should play a power-balancing role — so in a dispute between the government and everyday citizens, we will scrutinize the government more carefully than the citizens. We give more weight to arguments and ideas that are backed up by evidence.”

Thanks HA, I appreciate that. I don't have time to address it all right now but I'll just start with this massive lie... "“We are not aligned with any political party or movement — we are not on anyone’s team."
All these papers and networks parrot the Democrat talking points on a daily basis. To believe the Post doesn't align with a political party is comical.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Whenever I read a cogent post from HA, I realize that she is quoting an article but fails to acknowledge the author.
So much for the requirements of MMT as to attribution.
It's pretty obvious that homeagain was quoting from the article she'd originally posted as Rick said he couldn't read and it wouldn't subscribe in order to do so. However, copying and pasting an entire article is against Fair Use Guidelines so excess material was removed from that post - it can only be a small portion, enough to convey your point (it should be less than 10% of the entire article).
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

It is actually an article that states KISS.....keep it simple stupid.DECLARE YOUR CORE VALUES upfront
and provide a mission statement that is CLEAR AND CONCISE. Transparency is then evident.
The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos. I wonder how much influence he has with their editorials and reporting. The Post was anti-Trump when he was president. Now the liberal media is going after both Bezos and Amazon for his space race and Amazon's alleged bad working conditions. Will they become more moderate?
Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.
A reporter from (I think the NYT) sad that because orange man bad it was no longer there job to report fairly or objectively. It was their job to destroy Trump by any means possible. You can say he was only one man but I do not recall a rash of condemnation.
If you have never heard that, instead of asking for a source you might look inward and state to your self you own core values WRT political postings.
