CDOT Lies To Colorado

CDOT admitted this week that they pretended the Independence Pass was closed due to a mudslide while I-70 was closed by a mudslide. They didn't want semi's and RV's on the narrow mountain pass. Are you OK with government lying to you in the interest of safety?

Having lived on the mountain,when it was a two lane,OMG what was I thinking (in the winter time)..drive on
Windy Point,cliff straight down on one side,mountainside on the other....OH YA, I have no problem with a
little lie,considering TODAY'S drivers(batshit crazy) and the LACK of skilled semi drivers.

My dad drove Independence Pass in a full size Winnebago during the 70's. He said he would never do it again.
