Wishful Thinking Intelligence Experts?

Funny how the generals and the diplomats in Kabul had much more faith in the Afghan Army compared to the grunts that trained and served alongside their security forces. Plus we had a US military who were more worried about climate change and three percenters in the military than planning a transition to Taliban rule. Now come reports that President Biden will guarantee peace with the Taliban in Kabul by sending them pallets of cash. The Biden Administration is like a one trick pony, their only solution to every problem is throwing cash at it.

Sadly the Washington Post knows more than President Joe Biden and the Pentagon. But our troops stationed there could have told you that the Afghan Army was spineless and only propped up by a small force of Americans. Not even as strong as the Catholic minority in Vietnam who held out for a couple years after the US ground forces left.

I understand your desire to always deflect back in time, but that's not even a decent analogy. Days after Biden said we won't be evacuating our people from the roof with helicopters, we evacuated people from the roof with helicopters. The exit was so poorly planned that even the leftist media has to criticize it. A lot of past presidents have made mistakes in their words and actions, but we are taking about THIS president at This time in history.

Americans and Afghani's who are fearing for the lives of their loved ones don't give a damn about the past, they are only interested in what's happening right now.

WHAT i have stated in previous posts....the fubar is on ALL POTUS shoulders, since 9/12/2001. It does not take a hi intellect to REMEMBER the failure of Bush and his elation of "success"....PREPARING FOR THE WORST and hoping for the best,after THAT fubar...should have been obvious. I predicted it and I HAVE NO MILITARY BACKGROUND.

The exit strategy is fully on the shoulders of Biden, PERIOD. Past presidents have made plenty of mistakes, but none of those presidents designed this exit strategy, and it's the exit strategy that we happen to be taking about.

I think we will find that Biden was warned this would happen and did it his way anyway. Pelosi thinks Biden should be commended, so it looks like he has at least one person on his side.
