At least the Taliban didn't raise their flag for the first time on 9/11/2021. Back to square one, there are GI prisoners of the Taliban that the Biden Administration knows about. What is to be done? There are thousands of Afghani's that aided U.S. troops during our presence, still in Afghanistan, what is to be done?
Let's take a moment to look at the greater geopolitical scene. China financed the Taliban in large part, what is to be done? Russia and China did not close their embassies in Afghanistan and are aiding the Taliban, what is to be done?
Must be time for Slo Joe to "put a lid on it". Unfortunately his administration follows suit.

I think the only cards Biden has left are the ones in Gitmo... not a good hand.

This is from the Global Times twitter feed. The Global Times is a state sanctioned media outlet of the PRC.

Weak and confused leadership will always be responsible for bad consequences. This is just the beginning... now watch Russia.

Most of the billions the Afghan government has in western bank accounts has been seized by western nations. This might be a powerful tool to get them to allow their political enemies to flee Afghanistan.

I do wonder if after this debacle that the US adopts a more isolationist foreign policy stance. Expect US troops to be removed from Iraq and Syria soon too.

The deals cut for drug trade will enrich their coffers,so withholding $$$$ is a slap on the wrist.

Biden shouldn't do anything else from this point... everything he does is making things worse. People with active brain cells need to take control and Biden should retire to his basement.

Today's Taliban may not be like the Taliban of old but before the invasion they would burn poppy fields. True Islam rejects alcohol and other drugs like opium.
