KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — One of the founders of the Taliban and the chief enforcer of its harsh interpretation of Islamic law when they last ruled Afghanistan said the hard-line movement will once again carry out executions and amputations of hands, though perhaps not in public.
The topic header references "though perhaps not in public".
However reading deeper into the article one finds:
"He said now the Taliban would allow television, mobile phones, photos and video “because this is the necessity of the people, and we are serious about it.” He suggested that the Taliban saw the media as a way to spread their message. “Now we know instead of reaching just hundreds, we can reach millions,” he said. He added that if punishments are made public, then people may be allowed to video or take photos to spread the deterrent effect."
Reminds me of the beheading of the journalist James Foley in 2014. ISIS released a video, probably did not have cell service where they did it so it had to be taped.
Come now, the media has moved on from this. All those Americans still trapped because of Biden will surely be spared from execution, torture, or rape. Move along.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

I'm pretty sure "we" all have known the Taliban and the like are tribal and don't conform to the global norms of human rights. Unfortunately, this administration seems to be 100% clueless as to that fact, especially after the comment from the State Dept. where (I believe it was Blinken) made ridiculous statements about the Taliban needing more diversity or that they acted "business-like". We have leaders who are blind and who are a danger to our country.

That's true, but that doesn't mean Trump would have created a last minute panic exit due to shutting down the air base and pulling troops before our people and the allies were able to escape. I'm also pretty damn sure the Taliban wouldn't have been given the green light to start taking Afghanistan, city by city. And I know for damn sure he wouldn't have put the Taliban in charge of airport perimeter security, lol.
We still have people over there, lots of them, surrounded by evil that tortures and kills innocent people.
This is the ultimate proof that the Democrat media is completely worthless because they will not do negative stories about Biden unless they absolutely have to. I was young, but I remember the Iranian hostage crisis and that was a huge deal in the media for a long time. This story should get a whole lot more attention than the non-insurrection, but it won't, and that is journalistic malpractice.
