Unlearned AIDS Lessons for Covid
In the 1980s, Fauci and Redfield sowed fear about a heterosexual epidemic that never happened.
"One early alarmist was Anthony Fauci, who made national news in 1983 with an editorial in the Journal of the American Medical Association warning that AIDS could infect even children because of “the possibility that routine close contact, as within a family household, can spread the disease.” After criticism that he had inspired a wave of hysterical homophobia, Dr. Fauci (who in 1984 began his current job, as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases), promptly pivoted 180 degrees, declaring less than two months after his piece appeared that it was “absolutely preposterous” to suggest AIDS could be spread by normal social contact. But other supposed experts went on warning erroneously that AIDS could spread widely via toilet seats, mosquito bites and kissing."
The article also notes that Robert Redfield, who directed the CDC, published on the impending spread of HIV among soldiers, it didn't happen.
In the comments section, one of the commentators asks why someone should be in a position in government for 40 yrs.
"Regardless of whether or not they can maintain their energy, stamina, open-mindedness or mental acuity for such a long time, and even if they might be the most brilliant mind of a generation, shouldn't we want fresh eyes and the transparency that new leadership brings?
Lord Fauci has been wrong on everything, until he flips and acts like his first statement was never made. He recently said that Covid was going to feast on packed college football games, but of course there were no super spreader events as predicted. Just yesterday this dumbass said it was too soon to tell whether we could have normal Christmas gatherings, but today after being criticized, he flopped back to saying it's ok to have Christmas normally. The guy is worthless but Covid is making him rich.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

another snide remark? Serious discussion requested?

Exactly how is Fauci getting rich? Please prove your assertion and show your homework. Thanks.
I have one thread where I asked people to be civil, in that thread, and you replied to it. Being civil btw doesn't mean I have to be nice to all the stupid people who are running our lives, it means I have to be nice to the people I'm talking to, like you. Would you or HA be able to talk about Trump without calling him something derogatory? You can say anything you want about him and still be civil to me, right?
As for the all knowing and always wrong Fauci, he's being paid 400k a year, he's on every left wing network non stop, and I believe he has written a book about the pandemic. I don't know how much money he is making, but for as many times as he has lied or has been wrong, he shouldn't be making a dime.

Not from sources that koooobookie refuses to read, rather MSN.com.
Here is a rare example of liberal outing a liberal.
During a recent episode of the Thomas Paine Podcast, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. blew the lid on Dr. Anthony Fauci’s extensive legacy of fraud and coverups throughout his lengthy medical career in the federal government.
Kennedy explained that Fauci has been a problematic character all throughout his more than 50-year tenure in public health, during which he operated as a workplace tyrant and ruined the careers of countless physicians and researchers who, unlike himself, were upstanding and honorable individuals

Dr. Fauci is getting paid over 400k a year. President Biden considers that to be rich. He has faced a lot of criticism for the way he handled the AIDS crisis. Remember when children with HIV were banned from school?
