184,000 Jobs Report

Employers added less than 200k employees in September, less than half of expectations. This economy is acting very strange. Inflation as oil goes over eighty dollars a barrel, ships are taking four weeks to unload, no one is available to work. Unemployment is very low, almost too low. Why won't Americans go back to work? I saw one stat that one third of men in America no longer work.

Wow, who would have guessed? We are watching the most inept administration of our lifetimes led by a guy who is literally losing his mind. Biden's answer is to throw 5 trillion into the economy...

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Let's put this into perspective.

Fact check: Chart of job growth by president shows historic unemployment under Trump
www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/20...th-chart/6177339002/

Total nonfarm employees were 145,627,000 in January 2017 and 141,735,000 in September 2020, according to Federal Reserve Economic Data, or FRED, as seen in this chart showing the number of people employed per decade from 1940 onward. The economy lost just under 4 million employees during Trump's term.

4,000,000 jobs were lost under Trump's watch. But yes, let's cry boohoo over less than expected growth under Joe.

Record low unemployment and a booming economy before the convenient China virus ended it. If you can't look at the current president and the current policies and can only reference the last president, then it looks like you don't have any argument. If you think Biden is doing a good job with the economy, then you are in the minority.

I'm not going to dis you for being in the minority opinion, but I would like you to explain what policies Biden has put into place that are good for a recovering economy. If you don't understand economics, that's fine too, but I think it's important for all Americans to be educated and not just assume these people know what they are doing.

China virus. Nice dig there.

The bottom line is that economy has improved since Uncle Joe took over. It is a fact that 4 million jobs were lost while Trump was in the White House. Fred's original post was an attempt to make Biden look like a failure, when he's not. Trump was a failure.

LOL, we were going through a national lockdown and global pandemic, so of course unemployment in the last year of President Trump's was high.

400,000 plus jobs were expected to be created in September but only 180,000 and Koobookie thinks this is a victory!
:witchcauldr

This is just so wierd, every business I see has "help wanted" signs so why aren't people going back to work? I worry that a percentage of Americans want to stay safe by not working. I do have one friend who stopped being a Broncos usher because he thought it was too dangerous.

Last time unemployment was below 5%? March, 2020. What happened that month? But back then we were seeing the lowest unemployment rates for minorities and women ever. Under President Biden? We still have a record high number of Americans out of the job market. And national and state restrictions outlawing unvaccinated Americans from returning to work.

LOL!!! I just want to confirm that you are serious?

I'm pretty sure polls would reflect your opinion if it was actually true, but they don't.

Couple of things to consider.....

!. child care is STILL a problem and so SOMEONE has to take care of the children....and not work, but rather STAY HOME..

2. the pay is STILL NOT PROFICIENT ENOUGH (for the lower middle class)...minimum wage does NOT
allow for a livable situation (gas, food prices being elevated, not to mention rent)

3. EMPLOYEES R being selective about job/career changes or options....NOT wanting status quo anymor
NO QUALITY OF LIFE,MULTIPLE JOBS or UNFIT jobs that endanger THEIR lives...do U want to work in a
frantic, fast paced,TIMED JOB with quotas? They have opted to re educate, re locate, re do instead. Their
time off work has given them the luxury of RECONSIDERING how to structure their lives. The same old, same old is not acceptable. Working in a food processing plant, working as a CNA,working as a
cashier is dicey given the present pandemic.

TO BRING THIS ON HOME.......Watch netflix ''MAID"......VERY difficult to watch, but SO VERY important
to understand the persistent poverty and a hard path to climb to get out.

HERE is why.....when the masses r fed up,finding a better, more well suited situation is what will occur.. LIFE
is more than a miserable paying job AND the fact U R NOT appreciated.
