Should Secretary Buttigieg not have taken any paternity leave? BTW - their twins were premature, so they take extra care.

"We're pretty much the only country left that doesn't have some kind of national policy for paid leave." - Buttigieg

You all do realize that the Transportation Department has undersecretaries and staff that are capable of making decisions, as well as keeping Pete informed of the situation? Many of those staff are holdovers from Secretary Chao and the Trump administration.

But sure, let's make fun of Pete in a homophobic manner.

It is not about maternity leave. It is about he and his departments being a poster child for the abject failure of the administration he serves.

Judging from the jokes you gentlemen have been making at Pete's expense, I'm pretty sure it's about him taking paternity leave as a gay man, so it's looking pretty homophobic from where I'm sitting.

Anatomy of a non-prostate owner?

You both know how hard and panful birthing persons with uteruses claim child birth is. JUST TRY TO IMAGINE how hard it must be for birthing persons who do not have a uterus.

Is he helping with "chest feeding"?

You don't think Mayor Pete couldn't have least been zooming from home like the rest of America? If twin preemies had been born to a enlisted Marine would he have been allowed to come home for months of maternity leave?

I find it offensive when the male genitalia is inserted into the anus of a male or female. Does that make me afraid of homosexuals (homophobic)?

Is there any point where the woke movement goes too far for you Koobookie?

As for Pete he's just another gear in the machine that is not working, literally. These people knew about supply chain issues for a long time now and they've done next to nothing to address it. Today Psaki even made some snide comment to a reporter who asked bout this very issue and he was not from Fox

As for Pete needing to be home for months, I'd say that's too much, sorry. He has an extremely important job where literally every single American is counting on people like him to find ways of avoiding these continuous disasters. My wife raised 3 kids while I worked 6-7 12 hour days a week running our business. If those babies required that much attention, there are ways of solving that problem that would have made it possible for him to do his job. How many businesses could afford to give it's employees months off every time a kid popped out? Not many.

At some point you have to stop getting so upset about how we talk about these individuals that nobody voted for and start either defending their performances or critiquing them. Pete wasn't all that popular in the primaries because he isn't an impressive person. Being the mayor of a small town isn't some big accomplishment that would give him the experience he needed to be a good transportation secretary.

If you want to debate Mayor Pete's accomplishments or his performance thus far, I'd be happy to participate any time you want. Until then, I'll continue to point out his failure as an employee of the people.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

You are only scoring points in your echo chamber which is getting smaller and smaller. More and more people are laughing at New Speak.

Why don't you take a stab at defending administration policies. Supply chain issues would be a good one for this thread.

Do you know for a fact that he was not involved in his department while on leave?
