No matter what side of politics you are on, the elections in Virginia, New Jersey, and Minneapolis will have a big effect on things to come. Even if the Republicans don't win the two governor races, they will be too close for Democrat comfort and will send a message to country that there is no mandate for far left policies. I'm really interested to see what happens in Minneapolis where they are voting on whether to "reimagine" the police department. I actually want to see this new experiment take place. I think it's important that we all see how utopian dreams deal with the reality of human nature.
There's a lot of other elections including the Mayor of NY, but I don't think that once great city has seen enough pain to change yet so it won't be close enough to worry about.
Thoughts?
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Even the Colorado elections will frame the midterms. Will a state already suffering from high inflation reject more new taxes? Will liberal school boards who support CRT be replaced by those who put the needs of the students ahead of the needs of the teachers unions? The Democrats might have to retreat from the hard left turn they took after winning by razor thin margins in the Senate and House.

I'm going to love listening to the talking heads discussing why Youngkin was able to come so close to winning in that blue state...especially if he actually wins.
The political geniuses will most likely say that McAuliffe just ran a bad campaign, thus rejecting the notion that Democrat policies are pissing off people who voted for Biden.

Wow! I am so impressed the Republicans swept the statewide Virginia races. Elected an African-American woman as LT. Governor, and a Hispanic man as AG. No Republican has won a statewide race in Virginia in 12 years.
Gives me hope as a conservative Colorado voter. Was it education issues that caused the Democrats to lose? Or Biden's stumbles? Or both?

Foreshadowing for the midterms next year? Omar lost in her quest to rename the Minneapolis police department. The New Jersey governor's race is still in play. A socialist candidate in Buffalo lost by double digits to her write in opponent.
