I was in Alaska in 1997 and the residents were all worried that the permafrost was melting and their homes would become unstable. So what? Most of the big cities in the world were built on swamps, New York, Berlin, Chicago, they all found ways to deal with unstable ground and so will Alaska.
And rising seas? Norway and Sweden have risen as the glaciers melted, because the weight of the ice is gone. Also increased arable land.
