New Zealand Bans Cigarettes

They are doing it in a inventive way. They will Grandfather people in. So this year you have to be 21 to buy a pack of smokes. Next year it is 22, so after fifty years eventually smoking will disappear. Or people will just have gramps buy them a carton weekly.

Personally I think government should just let their citizens make the choice on if they want to smoke or not.

I took one puff of a cig when I was 10 or so and never again, it was disgusting. However, I did the same with coffee. That said I wouldn’t want either of the banned because that just goes against my core beliefs of freedom.

I used to fantasize about moving to New Zealand but seeing how they’ve handled COVID and now this, I guess I can put that fantasy to rest. Free world is being taken by the left, piece by piece.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

We visited New Zealand in 3 times in the 90's. Seemed ideal. Over the course of the next 20+ years, guns were confiscated, individual rights limited. Most of our time was spent on South Island which was "red" and North Island "blue". (May still be the case, I don't know.) No longer the country for the individualist, i.e., you cannot but a house in NZ.
