As I state I rarely respond to HA post as they are difficult to decipher. This comment"s reference is worth
quoting:
"Having reviewed our interactions with Henrietta Lacks and with the Lacks family over more than 50 years, we found that Johns Hopkins could have – and should have – done more to inform and work with members of Henrietta Lacks’ family out of respect for them, their privacy and their personal interests. Though the collection and use of Henrietta Lacks’ cells in research was an acceptable and legal practice in the 1950s, such a practice would not happen today without the patient’s consent."

Please note: 1. JHU apologizes for not informing the descendants of Ms. Lacks, they never knew her name until it was released by someone, unknown, to the press. As I stated Dr. Gey never released the names of the many patients whose cells were used in his research.
2." Acceptable and legal practice in the 1950's", understandable to everyone except those who choose to apply current social constructs to past history.

I will contact my alma mater forthwith to remove the statue of William Osler, M.D. (father of modern medicine) from the entrance, in that he had the temerity to utter "“Drug companies are not here to bring health to the population but to SCAM them on one level for vast amounts of money.” —Sir William Osler, MD, FRS, FRCP, widely considered as the Father of Modern Medicine (1849-1919), 20th century.

I also have to comment on this:
.reread the item u posted ANTI-RACISM is the subject,I am providing the back story

The topic of this thread is Biden's Accomplishments, not to whatever you are referencing.
As my high school English teacher drummed into the class, stay on topic with your comments.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that the Biden administration will offer bonuses to doctors who “create and implement an anti-racism plan” under new rules from the Department of Health and Human Services, that revise Medicare payments:

Effective Jan. 1, Medicare doctors can boost their reimbursement rates by conducting “a clinic-wide review” of their practice’s “commitment to anti-racism.” The plan should cover “value statements” and “clinical practice guidelines,” according to HHS, and define race as “a political and social construct, not a physiological one”—a dichotomy many doctors say will discourage genetic testing and worsen racial health disparities.

Latest: Trump: Get Vaccinated

The “rationale” for the bonus, the new rules read, is that “it is important to acknowledge systemic racism as a root cause for differences in health outcomes between socially-defined racial groups.”

Glad that I retired.

u elevated the topic...1st bolded, I responded to THAT reference.....if the FIRST phrase was not present, my reply might have been different ( your sarcasm about BIDEN'S ADM. was NOT well thought out)...NO WHERE in the written article (by Hopkin) does it say there was anonymity...in fact, it is apparent there was not. because the cells acted in extraordinary way.....THAT factor was then noted and researched....(I.D.
of said cells would have been paramount.

Biden accomplishments? There are predictions we will see $10 a gallon gas by November.

I a sorry but I must respond to your (choose an adjective) comment., HA.
Once again you are off topic, not unexpected. Evidently you want to raise an issue with a comment that was in another thread. So be it, it is your right however misconceived.
Perhaps you should write to the author(s) of your citation and ask them whether Dr. Gey protected the anonymity of the donors of the cells that he worked with in the lab.
"WHERE in the written article (by Hopkin) does it say there was anonymity...in fact, it is apparent there was not. because the cells acted in extraordinary way.....THAT factor was then noted and researched....(I.D.
of said cells would have been paramount."
It is obvious that you have no knowledge of or experience in scientific studies.

Reading comprehension is something not be overlooked, especially by those who have worked in the corporate world.

Finally, the article was published under the auspices of The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine not, sic (Hopkin).

Once again I apologize for the digression and would like to return to the thread, Biden's Accompllshments. In which we can note that he has another notch on his belt or feather in his cap, etc.

Gas prices have hit an all time high in the U.S.A, today.

Here's one opf Slo Joe accomplishments that is never forgotten on the internet:

"Both Russian and Chinese media and state officials have in the last days been widely circulating a resurfaced video from 1999 wherein then senator Joe Biden bragged about being the first US official to propose bombing Belgrade and destroying the city's infrastructure."

There's more:

Geo_monitor
@colonelhomsi
"I was the one who suggested the bombing of Belgrade. I was who suggested to send American pilots and blow up all the bridges over the Danube"..
Joe Biden, 1999"

the video is available on Signal. ( I don't know how to upload the video.)

Finally: "State media in Russia wrote this week while featuring the footage: "The head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, reposted the footage on his social media account, reminding the current US President of the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia that is estimated to have killed about 2,500 people, including 89 children." Russian officials used the clip to blast Biden over his latest description of Vladimir Putin as a "war criminal" and "thug" due to the invasion of Ukraine. It's also getting wide circulation on Chinese social media."

Ironic that one of the dumbest senators of the last 40 years became president. I blame Covid-19 for this since other, less famous candidates never got to campaign properly during the pandemic.

And now Biden is telling people to ignore what he said. He is not saying that Putin must be replaced, except he did say that this weekend And to make it more confusing, he says he isn't walking back his comments. This administration is so confused.
I wonder if part of it is Joe trying to step away from his handlers? Old, grouchy guys like to get their way, look at Trump, look at Biden.

Great news my friends, Biden has accomplished something AMAZING today! He just made lynching a federal crime! Thank goodness, I was getting so emotionally damaged by these daily lynchings around our country. On another great note, I saved $.03 per gallon when I fueled up at Costco today!

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
