Supreme Ignorance

This is why we can't allow a handful of people to make major decisions for our lives... they're not always smart and they are certainly not special.

What do these 3 justices have in common?

It is impossible to take seriously the arguments from people who can’t be bothered to get their facts straight first. That especially applies to Supreme Court justices, who are charged with making important legal decisions that affect every single one of us. Kagan, Breyer, and Sotomayor proved on Friday that they either don’t care about the facts or they just don’t care to be taken seriously.

Kagan began by claiming “the best way” to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is “for people to get vaccinated,” and the “second best way” is to “wear masks.” Neither claim is true. While the vaccines appear to slow the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the chance of death, there is absolutely no evidence that they prevent transmission, especially not against the much more contagious omicron variant.

Breyer continued to spread misinformation by falsely claiming that 750 million people — there are only 330 million people living in the United States — tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday. That would mean every single one of us tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday twice.

Breyer then implied, like Kagan before him, that Biden’s vaccine mandate would bring the number of daily cases down to zero. Again, this is not true.

But the worst falsehoods by far came from Sotomayor, who claimed the omicron variant is just as deadly as the delta variant and that more than 100,000 children have been hospitalized by COVID-19, with “many” on ventilators.

These 3 people are no better than the really bad sources they get their news from. Why should we be expected to respect these people?

Sotomayor, Breyer and Kagan made comments,( not questions to the respective attorneys) that defy
reality. I agree it is shameful that their lack of knowledge does not preclude their recusal.

At what point (in all of this chaos),do u realize you are all ALONE....that the decisions rest on your logic, your
research and what is right for u???.......my choice has been,ONE VAC.,limit contacts, remain calm and observe the progress/results. Eating healthy foods that boost your immune system and stay away from doctors, hospitals and crowded locations....early riser, run errands when stores are at their quiet time and
then hope for the best.

THAT is how reasonably wise people should think, HA. But we live in a time where our politicians and our media are drunk on power and control. You can’t control people if they are not afraid of something. So far, climate change and a virus are the best tools to corral the masses into compliance. I’m sure both of those will eventually become less effective and they’ll need to find another crisis that works better.

This country wasn’t started with the intention of government control over every aspect of our lives, and now we are starting to see why.

We WILLING gave away our rights/power after 9/11/2001......THAT was the opening the government needed.,it has been sliding into the abyss ever since. I don't think U can put it ALL on the gov.,the decision
was a mass mistake.....trading privacy for perceived safety.....laying responsibility elsewhere, when it should have been a BIG RED FLAG to the populace. It is ingrained to "go with the crowd"...those that don't fit in r bullied, shunned, shamed into submission. It takes a MORALLY STRONG, solidly individualistic person to "stay true" to what their values r. (RARE to find these days.)

You’re absolutely right HA and I will admit that I was duped by a government and president I trusted. I did learn a good lesson from that and I will not be fooled again when our government wants me to give up freedom and privacy in the name of “safety”. The lies about Covid and it’s origins are piling up daily and still half the country appears to be blind, again.

Want to feel old? The shoe bomber was twenty years ago and we are still taking off our shoes. Any evidence this has helped?
