Societal Change: Labor?

Only a few years ago, employers could be quite demanding, requiring college degrees for low paying jobs. Now I am talking to hiring managers who are willing to accept any warm body. Except more unions to declare strikes as they realize their new powers. And expect more employers to self train employees and offer free education to their labor force.

With reference to the King Sooper's strike, the Union will find itself in a worse position. Finding out that Safeway is represented by the same Union and that not all KS stores are striking does anyone care?
Regarding the Conifer KS, it was more crowded than ever on Tuesday. Perhaps those KS shoppers in Evergreen are coming to Conifer so that they can virtue signal that they won't cross the picket line in Evergreen.
KS will look at the bottom line and I think that it will not be harmed by this strike.

The WSJ had an article last week predicting massive pay raises as inflation continues under Biden. Kroger might have decided to lock in these pay increases before they demand even more. Expect higher prices and some marginal stores closing, like the inner city.

King Soopers now has reason to increase prices statewide even though the strike only effected Denver.

Was surprised to see that dozens of Kings Soopers are non-union.

The consumer always ends up paying the tab one way or another.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
