I think the Left has put too much faith in undependable renewables. They are expensive. I should know I have solar power on our property. They are so expensive that the government has to create tax credits to encourage Americans to buy solar and wind power.
I disagree that the Democrat energy policy will kill their party. As energy prices rise with the invasion of Ukraine by the Russians, expect many voters, especially the working class, to choose Republican candidates over Democrats, but I can also see the GOP blowing this opportunity because they are pushing extreme social legislation.
Irony? Democrats including the other Senator in Arizona are trying to pass a bill to cut federal gas taxes before the midterms. I doubt that will sway voters.

Informed voters already know we were pumping out way more oil and NG and exporting it. Even though Keystone wasn't flowing oil, it could be soon if our leaders allowed it. Even the most ignorant CNN and MSNBC views are going to start asking why we have to beg for more production from our enemies as the price keeps rising. When you can't afford to drive anymore, I seriously doubt you'll be saying, "well, at least I'm saving the planet so it's all good". Nope, nobody's gonna say that unless they're already dying.
